Rami Malek revealed a special moment he shared with Kate Middleton on Jimmy Kimmel Live! to Tuesday evening.

Malek, who recently reunited with the Duchess of Cambridge when she attended the world premiere of the upcoming Bond film No time to die in London, told Kimmel he had some “familiarity” with Middleton and Prince William after their first interaction two years ago.

Their first meeting – which also took place at the Royal Albert Hall, where the No time to die the premiere took place – took place at BAFTA 2019. The actor explained how “fascinating” it is to hear that the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge are learning information about everyone they talk to. “You can see that they have done their homework,” he said. “I just looked at Princess Kate at one point and said, ‘This must be exhausting. ” She [said], ‘Why?’ I said, ‘You just had a baby, didn’t you?’ “

The actor was referring to Middleton and Prince William welcoming their third child, Prince Louis, in 2018. Malek recalled Middleton’s reaction to the recognition of royal duties, saying: “I think she was taken from short.” He continued, “She said, ‘How are you?’ And I said, ‘No, how are you?’ In the most majestic and elegant way she said to me, “Well, you know, she glanced at me. “

He added: “It was so cool because I think I caught her off guard for a second.” Malek joked with her and said, “’You know, if you ever need a day off, a little time off, I’m your replacement. She said to me ‘What do you mean?’ I’m going, ‘I can babysit. You go out. Have fun.'”

“I think after seeing the movie, they won’t want you babysitting at all,” Kimmel joked, referring to Malek’s evil villain in No time to die.

“It’s so true,” Malek nodded.
