‘Presidency of Truman Show’: Biden ridiculed for using fake White House set

Social media users are ashamed and mocked at President Biden on Wednesday after speaking, once again, of a fake White House set that featured a digital monitor showing the rose garden in full bloom.

“The reason Biden uses this bizarre virtual set for televised meetings – and not an actual room like East Room, Cabinet, Oval, Roosevelt, Sit Room, etc. – is because it allows him to read a script directly to from a face-to-face monitor (and with no teleprompter glass visible on camera), “Stephen Miller, who served as a senior adviser to former President Donald Trump, wrote on Twitter.

The video set, which was built across from the White House in the South Courtyard Auditorium of the Eisenhower Executive Office building, is used by Biden for video conferences and events broadcast online. With professional monitors and lighting, this is the same set Biden used to show off receiving a third dose of the Pfizer / BioNTech Covid-19 vaccine.

“Presidency of the Truman Show,” said Jack Posobiec, editor-in-chief of Human Events.

“Aren’t they allowing it in the real White House,” New Hampshire reporter Kimberly Morin wondered.

“Is that a common thing,” asked Fox 19 host Tricia Macke. “I saw pictures of the set when it got the recall. I actually didn’t think it was real.”

“Why does Joe Biden feel the need to use a fake White House across from the actual White House,” asked conservative commentator and podcast host Benny Johnson.

“Why did the White House build a complete game show with fake windows for Joe Biden,” asked Abigail Marone, press secretary to Republican Senator from Missouri Josh Hawley. “So strange.”

“Remember the Trump green screen scandal? Now Biden is giving speeches on a set made up of Legos and no one is the least bit curious,” Fox News columnist David Marcus wrote in a tweet.

The set, which includes a small seating area for members of the press and others attending events, also hosts virtual meetings for Biden and other members of his administration.

In addition to Biden, United Nations Ambassador Linda Thomas-Greenfield, Secretary of State Antony Blinken and Secretary of the Treasury Janet Yellen were photographed using the set alongside the President for events there.
