44% of Republicans want Trump to run again in 2024: poll

The survey, conducted between September 13 and 19, 2021, showed that 67% of Republicans and Republican-leaning independents said “they would like to see Trump continue to be a major political figure for many years to come.” and 44% would. love to see him run for president again.

Twenty-two percent of those polled would prefer to support a different candidate who has views aligned with the beliefs of the former president.

About a third of Republicans, or 32%, said they would not want Trump to retain his status as a major politician, according to the survey.

The percentage of people who would like Trump to stay in the political spotlight has risen 10 points since a poll taken in the aftermath of the Jan.6 insurgency attempt on Capitol Hill.

This poll follows a recent poll of Iowa residents that showed 53% approve of Trump, an important group to consider as the Iowa caucuses could be a big factor in Trump’s possible 2024 campaign.
