Police began a search this week for missing fitness influencer Ca’Shawn Sims, a 30-year-old woman who went missing from her Los Angeles County home nearly a month ago.

Sims, who calls himself “Cookie” and has more than 200,000 followers on his Instagram fitness page, has not been seen since early September. Her sisters amplified her disappearance on social media, saying no one in their family has been able to contact her for weeks.

“I never thought that a day would come when I would post a missing flyer for my sister,” Ca’rynn Sims wrote on Instagram.

“She abandoned her house, her dog and apparently her phone which doesn’t look like her,” she said.

The Los Angeles County Sheriff’s Department began investigating the Sims’ disappearance earlier this week. The last reported sighting of her was in her hometown of Duarte on September 8. But Sims’ sister later shared that she had confirmation that Sims was in Pasadena from September 11-12 and had seen a doctor there.

“She went to the hospital on both days with complaints of shortness of breath and was released from hospital care on both nights,” wrote Ca’rynn Sims, saying the family were still looking for her sister.

Sims’ other sister, Chris’tol Sims, said their missing sister enjoys spending time alone, but staying that long without hearing from her is unusual.

“Although my sister is a very independent person and enjoys her solitude, family near and far have not been able to contact her for too long and that is concerning,” she wrote on Instagram.

The Sims sisters are begging people across the country to watch over her, claiming she may have left the Los Angeles area.

Sims is black, 5’1 “and 120 pounds. She has shoulder-length dark hair, brown eyes, and several tattoos, including one on her left collarbone with the inscription” It’s in the soul “, a on his left forearm with the words “Earth” and one in Spanish on his back.

Anyone with information about Sims is encouraged to contact the Sheriff’s Department’s Missing Persons Unit at 323-890-5500 or make an anonymous tip by calling Crime Stoppers at 800-222-TIPS.
