Twitch extension ranks richest streamers next to their name after revenue leak

The Twitch breach on October 6 rocked the entire community, with the biggest leak coming in the form of total earnings from top streamers. Now a savvy user has created a plugin that lets you see exactly where your favorite streamer ranks in the earnings list.

With over 120GB of data becoming publicly available, including source code and clues about a developing Steam competitor, the Twitch leak was just about one of the biggest things to happen in the community of the streaming.

The one thing that was talked about a lot that spawned memes on the internet, however, was the revenue drain, with streamers’ income from September 2019-2021 becoming a huge talking point between creators and their viewers.

That said, it was unclear where exactly all of the top streamers ranked among their peers – until now.

Streamers like Ludwig have seen their Twitch earnings leak, and there are tantalizing amounts of it.

Barely a day later Ottome offered a Chrome extension that lets you see where they rank immediately.

As you can see in the screenshot below, the plugin simply adds a number next to each broadcaster’s name, so you can easily see who has been placed where in the earnings ranking list.

So now if you’re having a hard time finding who to watch, you might want to give some love to some of the lower-ranked employees.

The Twitch extension lets you know exactly where streamers ranked in the leak.

If you’re worried about the logistics of the expansion (as some seem to be) due to the ever-changing nature of the numbers that have been leaked, Ottomated has also explained how exactly he plans to handle this.

“It’s a meme that took me 15 minutes to code,” he said.

Sure, give it a few months and the information will be slightly out of date, but memes could live on forever.
