The cryptocurrency shiba inu managed to capture the 18th position in terms of valuation of the crypto market. The token has gained 230% in the past seven days and since the start of the year, SHIB has gained a whopping 24,177,682%.
SHIB’s value rises after Whale buys $ 43 million in tokens
The popular crypto-asset based on memes shiba inu (SHIB) has made massive gains this year and has rocketed into the top 20 positions in the market. At the time of writing, the shiba inu has a market valuation of around $ 11.6 billion.
While seven-day statistics show SHIB has jumped over 230%, monthly metrics show the crypto asset has gained nearly 300%. As of Friday, October 8, 2021, there is $ 13.9 billion in 24-hour SHIB trading volume.
On September 30, 2021, a whale purchased over SHIB 6 trillion just before the price skyrocketed. Shiba inu caught on when Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin donated a billion dollars from SHIB to Crypto Covid Relief in India.
Recently, Coinbase has listed shiba inu (SHIB) and the memes-based crypto asset has seen significant retail demand since the initial listing. The Shiba Inu team also developed a decentralized exchange (dex) called Shibaswap.
Shibaswap has a total locked-in value of $ 364 million (TVL) and a few different crypto-assets attached to the SHIB ecosystem like leash and bone tokens. Leash trades for $ 1,871 per unit and bone trades for $ 2.33 per token today.

Statistics show that major SHIB exchanges on Friday include Binance, Huobipro, Okex, Coinbase and Poloniex.
Tether (USDT) is the best pair today with SHIB and 78% of all SHIB trades are paired with USDT. Next come the BUSD (11.29%), the TRY (5.40%), the EUR (3.02%) and the WETH (0.67%).
