A “big” remake of PlayStation is due to be announced in December, according to an Irish musician.
Speaking on The Lunchbox radio show (via Gematsu), singer-songwriter AVA said they had “recently [written] a song for a PlayStation game. write music for a remake of a PlayStation game ‘. “
AVA says McGlynn explained that Sony was looking for an Irish language track and that they helped with the lyrics. AVA also said that for a while they weren’t sure why they were writing due to Sony’s desire to keep the project “undisclosed.” They did however confirm that they had now learned what the game is and that “this is a big game”, which “is going to be announced at Christmas”.
AVA suggests that they are not experts in the game, so it’s hard to get a idea of what they could have been working on, but there are a few clues. McGlynn’s previous work with the Xenoblade team could have resulted in work with a Japanese developer – several Silent Hill games are reportedly in development from a “prominent” studio, and a Gaelic song could very well be a remake of that setting. There are also rumors of a cover of Infamous and one Metal Gear Solid 3 remake, although the latter is said to be far away, so a reveal in December seems unlikely.
It is not known exactly when the reveal is expected. This “Christmas” window cuts things down, especially with The Game Awards 2021 is slated to take place on December 9, but it’s also possible that a State of Play showcase will be slated for the holiday season. Anyway, hopefully we’ll find out more in the coming weeks.
here are the upcoming ps5 games we already know.
