17-year-old shot his stepfather and burned down his house with his mother’s help, police say

A 17-year-old is accused of shooting and killing his stepfather, then setting fire to the stepfather’s house to hide the body, according to authorities in Oklahoma. Robert Stockton Jr. was arrested Thursday morning in Harrah, Oklahoma. Oklahoma County Sheriff’s Department deputies discovered human remains after responding to a call about a fire at the house in late July. Stockton set on fire after shooting his stepfather in a bathroom at the house, according to police, who also believe Stockton’s mother was involved in the alleged cover-up. A witness said he heard gunshots after Stockton walked from room to room. Stockton then bragged about the murder, according to a second witness.
