Phaedra Parks has been busy since leaving The Real Housewives of Atlanta in 2017. In addition to being a single mother to her sons Ayden and Dylan, she is still a lawyer and funeral director. Now Parks has found a way to fit dates into her busy schedule.
“I’m going out and having a good time,” Parks said Sixth page.
Parks’ divorce from Apollo Nida was finalized in 2017 and now that married life is behind her, she is unsure if she would come back down the aisle.
“People often ask me if I want to remarry,” she said. “I’m looking for love but I’m not sure I want to remarry because I like dating someone. I love to have fun, I love to laugh, I love lavish gifts!
To get Parks’ attention, she said that a man has to be “very confident in himself, can support me and really be able to handle his under all circumstances.” She added that he must breathe “youth” and also have a weakness for “dangerous sports”.
Raising her children during the pandemic has been a challenge, Parks added. With the murders of George Floyd, Rayshard Brooks, and Breonna Taylor, she must have had conversations with Ayden, one of whom was a middle school student, and Dylan, a third-grader, whom she didn’t think were so trying.
“It was very difficult because Ayden and Dylan go to a very elitist private school where they are in the minority,” she said. “A lot of people did not share our political views and it was very difficult to explain to them why it was important to fight against things like police brutality. There were some very interesting conversations that I thought I would never have with my kids because it feels so much like the 60s. ”
