Solange presents her new album "When I Get Home": NPR

Two and a half years after the publication of A seat at the Table, Solange shares her surprise CQ visual album When I come back home. Sure Solange's fourth album since its debut in 2002, Solo star, The artist takes the listeners in an "exploration of the origin" through 19 tracks and a film combining static R & B, funk, Zydeco and blues. To accompany this release, Solange announced the holding of three "album events" in his hometown of Houston on March 3rd.

This publication was preceded by a takeover of the BlackPlanet.com beginner social networking site, where the 32-year-old artist shared photographs and video clips illustrating the contrasting facets of dark life. South, presented in his signature, both avant-garde. and the behavior at the bottom of the house; chrome cowboy boots with bustiers, black beauties, cadillacs of the time, wigs perfectly posed and intentionally, strippers breaking on the mast, cowboys on the rails of the corrector.

When I come back home is, at first glance, an undeniable ode to Solange's hometown of Houston, Texas, where he was recorded alongside a long list of outstanding collaborators. Keeping the Houston theme as devil, the album's examples include Devin The Dude, Scarface and Mike Jones. Other contributions to the album include Tyler, The Creator ("Down With The Clique"), Cassie ("Way To The Show"), The-Dream ("Binz"), Gucci Mane ("My Skin, my logo "), etc.

The slow engraving of Solange's previous album, A seat at the table, included a world tour of about thirty festivals with a grandiose scenography inspired by the emblematic ensembles of Earth, Wind & Fire, a commemorative book, and which has earned him numerous awards and honors. Out of first impressions, there seems to be little reason to expect less with When I come back home.
