A woman in Los Angeles was sentenced to 15 years in prison last week for what the authorities described as an unprovoked attack on an elderly man last year.
The woman, Laquisha Jones, 30, was accused of beating the man with a brick and telling him to "return to your country," said Los Angeles District Attorney's Office. .
Mrs. Jones was sentenced Thursday for not pleading any challenge to a charge of elder abuse, as part of a plea agreement reached in December.
