NBC / WSJ poll: 4 out of 10 re-elected Trump

According to a NBC News / Wall Street Journal poll, four out of ten voters would vote for the re-election of President Donald Trump.

In the February 24-27 poll, 41 percent of registered voters said they would vote for Trump or likely in 2020; 48% said that they would certainly vote or probably vote for the Democratic candidate instead.

Of the respondents, 58% said they did not believe that Trump is telling the truth about the Russia inquiry. And 60% of Americans disapprove of Trump 's national emergency declaration aimed at finding funds for the construction of a border wall.

But Trump's base remains strong; 88% of Republican voters approve of his presidency.

The other groups who liked Trump the most: the inhabitants of rural areas, 60%; Whites without university degrees, 60%; men, 54%; and whites in general, 54%.

The majority of people who disapproved of Trump belonged to a minority group: led by 88% of African Americans and 64% of Latinos surveyed disapproved of Trump. Young voters – defined in this survey as 18 to 34 years old – also strongly disagreed with Trump (57%).

The overall approval of Trump's work is 46%. In the NBC-WSJ polls, Trump's approval rate has been over 40% for the last nine monthly surveys.

The majority of Americans still have confidence in the economy and believe that there will be no recession next year.

Voting included 900 adults, 720 registered voters, 247 Democratic primary voters and 210 Republican primary voters, with an overall margin of error of 3.3 percentage points.
