Pete Davidson compares R. Kelly at the Catholic Church

Pete Davidson gave the audience to "Saturday Night Live" by comparing R. Kelly boldly to the Catholic Church.

"If you support the Catholic Church, is not it the same as being a fan of R. Kelly?" He asked in "Weekend Update ". "I do not really see the difference – only one music is much better."

He then understood the dilemma of appreciating the music of artists with despicable behavior.

"I'm not saying it's an easy decision. I'm just saying that you do not know how good a person's music is before they discover they're pedophile. And the reason everyone's so upset is that R. Kelly and Michael Jackson have done good music, "said Davidson. "If I discovered that Macklemore did some things, I'd be happy to free space on my iPhone," he joked.

Davidson concluded that the rule should be: "You can enjoy their work, but you only if you admit what they did."

His plan? "Whenever we listen to a song or watch a movie directed by a serial predator, you have to give a dollar to a charity that helps survivors of sexual assault," he suggested.

Davidson, 25, also took a minute to defend the age difference between him and his new love, Kate Beckinsale, 45. "Apparently, people have a crazy fascination for our age difference, but that does not really bother us," he said. .

He quickly went through a list of people involved in relationships with great age differences, from Donald Trump to Alec Baldwin, Harrison Ford, Larry King and Scott Disick – men considerably older than their partners.
