Some Google Pixel 3 smart phones seem to have a microphone problem, resulting in an unpleasant listening experience when you call. A reader's tip directed us to the Google Product Forums, indicating that the problem has been around for several months.
The reports go back to last November, but the problem seems to have increased since this position in mid-February. The problem seems to be related to the microphone of the phone: when you call with a Pixel 3, the audio quality is satisfactory on the side of the caller, but on the side of the recipient, the number of problems can be varied, including a sound " tinned, "a choppy sound and echoes.
Pixel 3 and Pixel 3 XL have been reported.
Meanwhile, some users said that it affected all calls, while others said the problem was intermittent. It's also said to be there, whether it's calling a landline or a cell phone.
Some improbable solutions have been put forward – including switching to a 3G connection instead of the 4G and enabling safe mode – but no solution worked for everyone. An experienced member of the Pixel community aggravated the problem last November, although that does not seem to have led to a solution either.
This is not the kind of problem that every Pixel 3 owner will encounter or notice since real-time calls have given way to instant messaging. For those who use them frequently, though, I can imagine that it's incredibly boring.
