There are certainly many, many things to celebrate on Game of thrones. The grandiose staging, frank writing, intense performances and gorgeous costumes are just a few elements that come to mind. But the prosthetic work is probably not immediately recognized.
How do White Walkers become White Walkers? How does the king of nights get these beautiful horns? Why does Greyscale seem so disgusting? All the praise to Game of thrones'Incredible prosthesis team – artists who bring all these improvements to the hand and then place them carefully on actors.
Below, HBO offers some love to the rarely-seen miracle workers with great behind-the-scenes footage. The clip contains not only some of your favorite moments in the series up to now, but also great teasing on prosthetics for season eight as well.
Of all the impressive and terrifying figures cited in this video, the one that seems most striking is the time or the two hours to remove the prostheses. You never think about that, do you? We always hear stories of actors sitting on makeup chairs for six to eight hours before they even pass in front of the camera – but imagine going through this process, filming for 12 hours, then being exhausted and tired. again to have another two hours to remove everything … to do everything again the next day? Brutal.
As if you did not already know it, Game of thrones returns on April 14th.
