What to expect from the Apple News event and 25 March video streaming

[ad_1]

Apple confirmed the rumor on March 25, but of course, it did not say anything directly about what will be revealed here. AppleInsider examines evidence showing that Apple has launched a more consistent Apple News service with magazines and other publications, as well as the launch of Apple's streaming video service, as well as new material likely to appear.

Based on the usual sources, and in this case especially looking at the agreements between Apple and other companies, here's what you can expect to see on March 25, plus what is planned for Apple but has less chances to appear too.

Show time

Continuing Apple's penchant for encrypted invitations, the March 25 event is titled "It's Time for the Show". The invitation is not a static image, nor does it look like last October's event where hundreds of different images were later transformed into an animation. This time, Apple has started a countdown before unveiling a white Apple logo on a black background.

Given the word "broadcast" and the intro of the movie style, it seems that this event will be entirely devoted to Apple's next video service.

However, all previous rumors about the event suggest that the real highlight of the launch will be Apple's newspaper and magazine subscription service. AppleInsider questioned that, though. If Apple actually launches its video service, it will definitely bring some of the famous talents we know are working on programming.

And if you have like Oprah Winfrey, JJ Abrams, Jennifer Garner and Steve Carrell at your launch, they will surpass any updated news service.

The new Apple video service will surely be integrated with its existing TV application

Given this and the way Apple has designed the film and presented certain aspects of its invitation, it is now much more likely that the video service will be the centerpiece of the event.

Except that Apple is known to have spent more than a billion dollars on original broadcasts for this streaming video service and will definitely want to launch it with maximum efficiency. And there is a problem here because some reports say the service will not be launched for several months.

Apple has announced the iPhone and iPad many months before they are available for purchase, but this is done by necessity. At the time, in 2007 and 2010, regulatory filings with the FCC were public so that the details of the next Apple phone are known.

There is nothing like this with a video service, so it's up to Apple to decide when to unveil it. If the event launches the video service, this service will arrive earlier than expected by these reports. Otherwise, Apple will not announce anything more about the video than, for example, an update of the TV app or, if it's probably a rumor, an Apple TV mini-dongle .

What is more likely is that all this means that the delays with the video service have been resolved.

"Apple News Magazines"

Many sources have said that the news service would be the centerpiece of a March 25 event. We know, for example, that the company is working on a paid subscription to Apple News and that it is now called "Apple News Magazines".

This name has apparently been confirmed in the beta versions of iOS 12.2, which also indicated that payments would be tied to your iTunes account. There also seems to be what we will call a bundled subscription, which could mean a fee for "Apple News Magazines", Apple Music and the future Apple video service.

A subscription to "Apple News Magazines" alone would cost $ 10 a month, in the same way as an individual subscription to Apple Music.

This follows Apple's acquisition of the Texture software, which allowed access to magazines. The Apple version should continue with magazines but also add newspapers.

However, there are reports on issues relating to how this is going to be done, and specifically to the titles that it can carry. Apparently, Apple plans to take 50% of the revenue from this subscription and at least some publishers are reluctant to do so.

Equipment

Apple does not hold events every March. Since 2011, he has organized five events but no announcements have been announced in 2013, 2014 or 2017. However, whenever he has had an event, he has always unveiled new materials. Only once, in 2015, a March event failed to include a new iPad.

This may not be the case this time, at least according to some sources who claim that rumors that the widely used fifth-generation AirPods 2 and iPad would not be launched on this occasion.

There have been conflicting rumors, but according to the most likely evidence, AirPods 2 will be launched in the fall. This first AirPod overhaul should include more health-related features and improved sound.

The AirPower charger can be launched and, if necessary, a small update of the AirPod system will also be available.

The AirPower charger can be launched and, if necessary, a small update of the AirPod system will also be available.

However, we might see another type of AirPod update. According to other reports, the AirPower charging mat, which had fallen far behind schedule, is about to be released as TV commercials were filmed in February. If Apple displays the AirPower charger, an updated AirPod case can also be loaded.

Other material

We know this about the update of the case of loading of AirPods, because Apple has in fact announced that it would publish one. Everything else is really a guess up to the Apple event, but some assumptions are persistent and even reasonable. For example, if there is false information about the return of the iPod touch, for example, there is still enough real substance to make it possible. Whether it's likely or not is another question, but a 2019 iPod touch would be a great device to watch Apple's new video service.

This could be particularly relevant since both iOS and Apple TV are significantly better for video than the Mac. For example, you can not play 4K video on Mac.

There is also another material long overdue because Apple is probably late to update the iMac. This was the surprise omission of the October 30, 2018 event that had otherwise seen the Mac mini and the MacBook Air go out.

This is not to say that iMac is more likely to be launched than the rest of the material at the March 25 event. However, Apple now has the habit of making some hardware updates with a simple press release, as was the case with the updated MacBook Pro summer 2018.

If an update of iMac looked like a minor improvement in terms of speed or whatever, we would be sure that Apple would do it via a press release. And also if it was a major design change, we would expect that a new iMac would appear during an event. However, with some updates from the MacBook Pro family being important, it may be best to know what Apple can best integrate into its events to get the most out of the media.

The show is the thing

It's never just a case of what is ready to be launched. This is always the case with which Apple can have the greatest impact and this involves both launching major products and making sure that they do not compete too much for attention. Apple wants everyone to buy everything, it does not want us to be confused by too many options.

This leads us to question the idea that Apple will launch both the news service and the video service. The news service does not feel like a show to make the event an Apple event all by itself; however, it would be drowned if Apple also launched its competitor Netflix at the same time.

And maybe Apple will use this event to explain how it uses security as a selling point for its devices. In early March 2019, the company purchased and registered the domain name of the website PrivacyIsImportant.com. There is still nothing on this site, nothing at all, but we can see Apple launch it at an event.

We will know it on March 25 and Apple announced that, as always, the event would be broadcast live.
