Today, Chrome 73 is officially available to all users, bringing several improvements, including the long-awaited dark mode for macOS. ("Windows support is on the way," reads the release notes.)
The dark mode was first announced for Chrome last month, but the publication of today has made it official. It works pretty much the way you want it: if dark mode is enabled on your computer (see here for macOS and here for Windows 10), Chrome automatically adapts to the theme appropriately, which essentially looks like Darker darker browser. menu bars. This is not technically the first time Chrome offers dark or thematic options. Conversely, if you are not a fan of the new darker colors of Chrome, you can use the Chome themes to reverse your color scheme and adopt a lighter style, which seems to be the only way to change the color before returning all your operating system. settings back in light mode.
