Beaty sued his former employer, Kansas Athletics Inc., on Tuesday, alleging breach of contract and $ 3 million in unpaid wages.

While the university does not generally comment on the unresolved lawsuits, athletics department spokesman Jim Marchiony said late Tuesday that the nature of the court case deserved an answer.
