PORTLAND, OR (KPTV) – A plane bound for Seattle returned to Portland International Airport Tuesday morning after the flight crew shut down one of the aircraft's engines.
The FOX 12 viewer, Clark James, shared a video of a propeller not working properly.
Seattle-based airline Alaska Airlines said that shortly after take-off around 10:30 am, pilots saw a warning light indicating that there was a problem with one of the aircraft's speeds. # 39; propeller.
The crew stopped an engine and turned around, which is a standard procedure, says the airline.
Although this is rare, Alaska says that pilots are trained for single-engine operations.
The passengers after their return to Portland took a new plane which eventually took them to Seattle.
