Gmail and Google Drive hit by global outage

Problems sending emails? You are not alone.

Gmail has been affected by a crash that has affected users around the world. Reports of failures have multiplied and Gmail users have flooded social media to complain about problems sending e-mails.

Some users have also reported issues with Google Drive, including unstable performance and unopened file types.

According to a message posted on Google's GSuite status dashboard at 13:53. AND, Gmail and Google Drive are facing what he calls an "interruption of service".

"We are investigating information about a problem with Gmail," reads the message. "We will be providing more information soon.The affected users can access Gmail, but see error messages, high latency and / or other unexpected behavior."

Google had a similar status message for Google Drive.

The services seem always available to some users (Gmail was working for CNET staff in New York and Australia, but not for any of our reporters in San Francisco). But the blackout is widespread and seems to cover North and South America, Europe and Asia.

Google has confirmed the crash at CNET, advising users to check the G Suite 's dashboard for other updates. We will also update here if the situation changes.

Whatever the case may be, you may have an excuse to postpone this annoying electronic response a bit.
