A Georgia that has hit and killed three people, including a mother and baby, is not facing any prison sentence after pleading guilty this week.

Zoe Reardon was 17 when she killed Kaitlin Hunt, 28, Riley Hunt, 3, and Kathy Deming, 61, in September 2017.

The authorities complained at the time only because they had found that Reardon had not driven too fast and was not under her influence when she hit the three pedestrians with her SUV while attempting to cross Arnold Mill Road in Woodstock, the Atlanta Journal Constitution reported.

Reardon testified that he did not see the victims, who were crossing an area in the evening without any security measures for pedestrians.

The case was reopened after a civil lawsuit was filed against the city and Reardon was charged with minor misdemeanor, including homicide on a vehicle, reported WTOL.

Reardon pleaded guilty Monday, the eve of his 19th birthday, and was sentenced to 36 months probation, 240 hours of community service and a $ 4,000 fine.

She has also been ordered to take a safe driving course and will be allowed to regain her driver's license in one year.

"You're pretty young," said Judge Alan Jordan of the State Court, according to WSB-TV. "You have a life before you. I think it's something you're going to have trouble managing the rest of your life. "

The Hunt family sent a statement to the local station after learning that Reardon would not be sentenced to prison.

"Our desire has always been for the woman who killed our daughter, Kaitlin Hunt; granddaughter, Riley Hunt; and dear friend Kathy Deming must be held responsible for her actions, "reads the statement.

"What happened is a multi-level tragedy and there is no result that can restore our entire family. Legal actions can not cure us, we must continue to care for ourselves. "
