The Kansas City Chiefs announced on Wednesday that the club had released Eric Berry.
"On behalf of my family and the entire organization of chefs, I want to thank Eric for his many contributions to chefs over the past nine seasons," said Clark Hunt, Chiefs' President and Chief Executive Officer. "Eric has been a tremendous leader for our football team and a source of inspiration for many fans over the years, and we sincerely appreciate everything he's meant for the Chiefs. He will always be part of our family of leaders and we wish him nothing better than the future. "
