FRISCO, Texas – George Iloka, who on Saturday accepted a one-year contract on Saturday, told ESPN that the Dallas Cowboys had been seduced by the safety.
The Cowboys had made security one of their targets in complete freedom. Although Earler Thomas, a six-time pro, has been the subject of rumors since the end of the 2017 season, it's never been a realistic idea of Dallas because of the price. The Baltimore Ravens signed a four-year $ 55 million contract with Thomas last week with a $ 32 million guarantee.
The Cowboys visited Clayton Geathers on Monday and Eric Berry on Tuesday. Geathers has signed again with the Colts of Indianapolis and Berry is still studying his options.

Iloka, who turns 29 on March 31, has started 79 games out of 99, including 76 in six years with the Cincinnati Bengals. After his release from the Bengals last year, he joined the Minnesota Vikings and started three of 16 matches in 2018.
He recently visited the Oakland Raiders before coming to the Star for a visit on Friday.
For his career, Iloka has nine interceptions, three forced fumbles and a fumble recovery.
He joined a security group consisting of Jeff Heath, who started 31 of the last 32 games, and Xavier Woods at the start, with Kavon Frazier and Darian Thompson as substitutes. The Cowboys should also look seriously at the security features available in the next release.
