Gary Parrish, college basketball initiator

Parrish: Duke and North Carolina have never competed in the NCAA tournament. It's hard to believe, it's true. But I expect it will change this season too because the Blue Devils and Tar Heels are meeting in Minneapolis. And that would not be something? Duke-UNC IV in the last game of a season focused on Zion Williamson and his teammates since the opening night. And, yes, I predict that the Blue Devils will close in the same way as they did – by hitting a blue blood comrade on a big stage. In November, the victim was in Kentucky. In April, it will be UNC. Final score: Duke 76, North Carolina 73. Zion Williamson will be the most outstanding player in the Final Four, and two months later, the first pick in the 2019 NBA Selection. Mike Krzyzewski will receive his sixth title of national champion.

Norlander: It's going to be an incredible story. The first seed # 1 to lose to a 16. Then come back a year later and win the damn thing. Virginia has been ranked as the strongest team in college basketball for most of the season. They are still No. 1, for the moment, in more NCAA team sheet statistics than Duke. They have a healthy team. Tony Bennett's offensive has never been so good. Several pros. From '' Andre Hunter '', Kyle Guy and Ty Jerome form a group as solid as other college basketball players. And Bennett is too good a coach to not finally qualify for the Final Four. It will happen. Some might say that it will happen … finally. But I'm watching this team this season and I'm saying it's going to happen this year. And then Virginia will write the biggest turnaround story in the history of NCAA tournaments. This team will win the 2019 national title.

Jerry Palm, expert in Bracketology

Palm: Healthy Duke has been without a doubt the best college basketball team this season. The Blue Devils were the only ones to lose against the team I expect to meet in the Final Four, Gonzaga. Zion Williamson is an athlete as we see it once in a generation. He will lead his group to the title. Tennessee has the combination of talent and experience that I like to see in NCAA tournament teams. Under the leadership of American Grant Williams and Admiral Schofield, they have the weapons and patience to defeat Virginia and reach the Final Four.

Chip Patterson, University Basketball Writer

Patterson: Duke over Kentucky: If the game for the title has to be chalky, and I think that's the case, we have to get curved balls somewhere, is not it? My support is a big gamble on Jay Wright and a Villanova team that has been inconsistent throughout the year but still counts Phil Booth and Eric Paschall, two players with a lot of experience in NCAA tournaments. Duke and Kentucky have already had injury defeats and challenges to overcome on their path, from the beginning to the end of the regular season, in the top 5 teams of the AP poll. I think the two teams have emerged on the other side, far more prepared to win a national championship, and the clash between them in Minneapolis is close to a draw. I'm leaning Duke because I'm not going to think about it too much, and I predict that Tre Jones, like his brother Tyus before him, plays an important role in guiding the Blue Devils to a title.

Boone: Despite Duke's abysmal averages on the 3-point line, his stifling defense, Hall of Fame coach, and ultra-talented lineup make it my choice. With Zion Williamson in top form, the Blue Devils have a two-way player who gets most of his buckets at the rim, reducing the need to be awesome from 3. With him and RJ Barrett he is Clear that Duke has the two best players in the field this year.

Dodd: The rules of ACC! Well, if you consider three seeds # 1. But this time of year becomes a half-court game. Because someone, somewhere on the line, will neutralize Zion and Duke. Virginia just is not enough offended and there are too many memories of UMBC to be able to trust the Wahoos to be able to run. North Carolina is interesting coming out of the Midwest because Roy Williams' three national championships were won while his team was a No. 1 seed. Except that the heels will not come out of the Midwest, Kentucky will do it. This brings us to Gonzaga. Call it the Zags' Revenge Tour which debuted in 2017. The pride of the West Coast Conference – still mistakenly called mid-major by some – sided six in front of the Tar Heels during the match national championship that year. Since then, Gonzaga is 62-8 in total; 10-5 against power conference teams. Do not be fooled by our last glimpse of the Zags, a frustrated defeat against St. Mary's during the West Coast Championship game. This is a team of veterans tested in tournaments with three seniors (one starter) in the rotation. The nation's team with the highest score is completed with a top-10 defense on the field. Enough, the Zags are just fun to watch out of the West. Rui Hachimura has a chance to be the most valuable player of the tournament. The western region that Gonzaga has to go out is not particularly difficult. Look for a grinder against Texas Tech in the regional final. The Zags will overthrow the state of Michigan during the Final Four to travel to Kentucky. They will not be intimidated.

Nagel: Another expert goes against the Duke trend by choosing Virginia to beat Gonzaga in the championship game. Nagel has Michigan State beating Duke in the Elite Eight, while winning the biggest surprise of the tournament: Washington shocks North Carolina in the second round.
