LANSING, Mich. (WILX) – Getting rid of these annoying automated calls is about to be a lot easier if you are a Verizon customer.

According to Forbes, the phone company will soon be offering free blocking tools to its customers.

Verizon is already offering a blocking app that costs $ 2.99 a month, but a free version is expected by the end of the month.

Verizon operates a new technology that analyzes incoming calls and visually warns consumers of falsification of calls on their smartphone.

Since last year, Verizon has identified nearly 300 million numbers associated with spam and automated calling.

More details on the service are expected.
