Safdie Architects unveiled their plans to expand the Marina Bay Sands complex in Singapore. Linking the existing resort and waterfront development, the project is inspired by three original hotel towers completed in 2011. Safdie Architects will expand the existing resort with a new self-contained hotel tower comprising approximately 1,000 suites. and its own rooftop and pool, as well as a 15,000-seat music arena.

The Singapore Ministry of Commerce and Industry has announced the construction of a fourth tower next to MBS as part of a larger $ 9 billion project. The existing Marina Bay Sands is a 121,000 square meter mixed-use integrated complex located on a 16-hectare site of land reclaimed in Singapore. The complex comprises a 55-storey hotel with 2560 rooms in total; a 1.2 hectare park of gardens covering the towers; the ArtScience Museum on the promontory of the seafront; two state-of-the-art theaters; a casino; a convention center and exhibition halls; shops and restaurants; as well as an outdoor event place. Known for its famous 150 meter high infinity pool, the resort has become an icon for Singapore.

No timetable for completion has been announced for the hotel tower.
