The crux of the problem is that publishers and developers are trying the store before the players, at least en masse. But publishers would not do that willingly. They probably know something that we do not like the official sales figures and data to back up Epic offers. Or maybe Epic just throws more money and promises more revenue with time for every sale.

There is also the commercial element that feeds everything. The publishers want to maximize their profits and Epic will continue to make noise around his huge wallet to secure the big games. But this seems like a backward strategy. Epic must strive to make its store a better place to buy, play, and play games before attempting to defend some of the industry's biggest AAA titles.
