The reconstruction of Lonzo Ball continues. This time, Ball agreed to separate from his agent Harrison Gaines, according to ESPN.
In a statement to ESPN Ball, "Harrison Gaines is a trusted advisor and close friend for many years. He guided my career in the NBA with integrity and always had my best interests at heart. "
Gaines is Ball's agent since leaving the guard for a professional career at UCLA. Ball was his first client and he then created SLASH Sports, an agency representing several other former NBA players, including Jamal Franklin and Jabari Brown.
Lonzo continues to rebuild
The separation between Ball and Gaines is one of many moves made by the Lakers guard in recent weeks.
This week, he filed a lawsuit against Big Baller Brand co-founder Alan Foster for using a "fraudulent scheme" to take money from him.

Ball said that the decision to separate from Gaines was not related. "Harrison has always had my back and even though we will not work together after we decide to separate, our relationship will always be bigger than basketball," Ball said in a statement to ESPN.
Before pursuing Foster, Ball distanced himself from his family's Big Baller brand. First, Ball posted a photo on Instagram suggesting a possible union with Nike. Later, he had his tattoo Big Baller Brand covered with a pair of dice.
The young baseball player was closed early March due to an injury to his left ankle.
