According to reports, Lauren Sanchez and her husband, Patrick Whitesell, have officially filed for divorce.
The former co-host of "Good Day LA" filed the documents Friday, by TMZ, pointing out that Sanchez's divorce petition also included Whitesell's response. The news comes as billionaire Jeff Bezos, who has been romantically linked to Sanchez, has finalized his own divorce this week.
Sanchez, 49, and Whitesell, 54, both ask for joint custody of their two children. TMZ reports, citing court papers.

In addition, the former couple did not have a marriage contract in place, nor did they apply for child support or spousal support, according to the court documents.

A source also said at the point of sale that everything was amicable between Sanchez and Whitesell, who were married in 2005 and would have separated last fall.
Last January, it was revealed that Sanchez was attending Jeff Bezos, CEO of Amazon, for four months. The two men would have got to know each other through her husband, the agent of Sanchez, in Hollywood.
Also in January, Bezos, 55, and his wife MacKenzie, announced their divorce after 25 years of marriage. The divorce was finalized on Thursday.
