A man who was riding a bicycle with a knife and slicing the face and neck of nine people in Los Angeles was charged with multiple crimes.

The Los Angeles County Attorney's Office on Friday announced that Lenrey Briones was facing seven aggravated counts of slander, two counts of aggravated wrongdoing and one count of attempted second-degree theft. It is not known if the 19-year-old has a lawyer.

Investigators claim that Briones left cuts to the victim, including a 13-year-old teenager. One victim needed 20 stitches. Stefany Coboz told KNBC-TV that she had received a deep gash in the ear and that the attacker returned and laughed away.

Prosecutors said that in one case he had tried to take the bag of a victim.

He could face life imprisonment if he is found guilty in all respects.
