LOS ANGELES – The man accused of murdering rapper Nipsey Hussle was sentenced to $ 5 million bail after pleading not guilty Thursday for murder and attempted murder.
Eric R. Holder Jr., 29, who appears for the first time in court after Sunday's shooting and the two-day manhunt that followed, just said "yes To the questions of Judge Teresa Sullivan of the Los Angeles Superior Court.
His lawyer, Christopher Darden, has not disputed the amount of the bond, requested by the prosecution. Darden declined to comment after the hearing.
The incumbent is charged with murder and two counts of attempted murder in connection with the attack perpetrated in front of Hussle's clothing store on Sunday's Marathon that left the rapper dead and two other men injured.
No additional detail on the reason was published during Thursday's hearing.

In 2012, he did not challenge the possession of a loaded firearm and was sentenced to six months in prison and three years probation. The case filed on Thursday includes a charge that he was a criminal in possession of a firearm during the Hussle attack.
