LOS ANGELES – A man in Los Angeles who rode a bicycle with a knife and sliced the face and neck of nine people was charged with multiple crimes.
The Los Angeles County Attorney's Office announced Friday that Lenrey Briones was facing seven counts of aggravated assault, two counts of aggravated assault and a second-degree attempted theft attempt. It is not known if the 19-year-old has a lawyer.
Investigators claim that Briones left cuts to the victim, including a 13-year-old teenager. One victim needed 20 stitches. Stefany Coboz told KNBC-TV that she had received a deep gash in the ear and that the attacker returned and laughed away.
Prosecutors said that in one case he had tried to take the bag of a victim.
He could face life imprisonment if he is found guilty in all respects.
