The next installment of Assassin's Creed is scheduled for 2020 and will be settled according to the Nordic mode, according to sources close to the game.

Kotaku reports that the upcoming title is codenamed Kingdom and will feature the Vikings. The point of sale quotes two independent sources who know the game well.

Earlier this week, The Division 2 players stumbled upon an Easter egg in the form of an in-game poster depicting a Nordic god dressed in red and white – colors that we have come to associate with the series. Assassin's Creed. appears at an artifact Apple of Eden games.

Observers speculate that the franchise will head to the Vikings rather than the previously rumored Rome parameters.

The Wiki user, AlifMorrisonudin, has discovered the Easter egg, which you can view above, including an enlarged image of the Eden's apple in the character's hand.

Ubisoft apparently refused to comment, but he is no stranger to the teasing at stake for upcoming games.

Watch Dogs 2 contained a mission that unveiled Pioneer, which was later canceled and eventually reborn as a cooperative multiplayer shooter.

There are no more details at the moment, but if Kotaku's sources are accurate, viking raids could be part of the imminent future of the series.
