The former Chelsea striker is not opposed to the fight with the officials, but this time, he received his order of march earlier
The Atletico Madrid striker, Diego Costa, was sent off after a fierce tirade against the referee during the La Liga clash against Barcelona.
The former man from Chelsea was left puzzled after believing that he had been the victim of a foul in the 28th minute and had informed the official, unequivocally.
The Spanish international was harassed after Jesus Gil Manzano and seemed to unleash a flood of abuse towards the official.
Not surprisingly, he was shown a straight red, causing a furious reaction from his teammates at Atletico. Following the scrum, Barca defender Gerard Pique escorted Costa to the goal of getting out of the playing area. Jose Gimenez and Diego Godin were both reserved for their protests.
The match was tied at 0-0 at the time and Atletico's manager, Diego Simeone, was forced to mix the peloton, which brought Angel Correa to Santiago Arias' place.
This is not the first time that Costa has been sent back to the Madrid club since being re-registered in 2018. The striker was in fact dismissed during his first appearance at Atleti against Getafe.
In a typically Costa Rican behavior, the 30-year-old scored in the 68th minute of the match, but was reprimanded for his celebration.
During his three year period in England, Costa was also involved in a number of controversial incidents, such as an altercation with Gabriel Paulista, Arsenal man, who finally saw the defender of the Gunners expelled.
He also clashed with Emre Can in a semifinal of the 2015 League Cup against Liverpool, during which Costa had been retrospectively banned by the FA for hitting the midfielder.
During his stay at Stamford Bridge, Costa had received 30 yellow cards in three years but, surprisingly enough, had been sent off only once in an FA Cup match against Everton.

The same can not be said of his visit to Spain, with a tenth red card in all for Saturday.
The match could prove essential to determine the title of the Spanish title. Barcelona is currently ahead of Atletico, second, eight points.
The hosts named a strong team at Camp Nou despite their Wednesday's Champions League clash with Manchester United.
