Chase Brice leads Whites to victory in the spring on a perfect day at Clemson

CLEMSON – A large crowd, a stadium full of prestigious rookies, a sunny afternoon at Death Valley and a national championship ceremony served as a backdrop for an almost perfect day in Clemson.

Chase Brice The Whites won two of the first goals and the Whites beat the Orange 30-10 at Clemson Memorial Stadium on Saturday afternoon in the Clemson spring match in front of an announced crowd of 60,000. While many of the best hopefuls were present to follow the debates, Brice was connected to the freshman receiver. Frank Ladson three times for 69 yards in the first decisive half.

The first rounds looked like a typical spring, but Chase Brice led White to the first goal of the game, halfway through the first quarter. The whites responded during the ensuing journey and it was another passage from Brice to Ladson that set the stage. Brice targeted Ladson during the first part of the training, but the pass fell on the incomplete. In the second half of training, Ladson broke free and Brice threw a 42-yard ball that gave White the ball on a 39-yard orange line. Seven pieces later Steven Sawicki hit a 25-yard placement and it was 10-7 White late in the first half.

The teams traded punt and the Orange took over seven minutes from the end of the match. A swing for Carter Groomes was searched (forced by Sheridan Jones) and White recovered (by K'Von Wallace) on the 12-yard line. The Orange responded with a final score before half-time, creating a 10-game, 61-yard lead that ended with a 30-yard goal. BT Potter. The teams went to the locker room with the Whites winning the 17-10 win.

Sawicki added to the mark in the third quarter, scoring a 43-yard goal that gave the Whites a 20-to-10 lead. In the middle of the fourth quarter, he hit another 43 yards for a 23-10 lead. The final score was obtained when Sheridan Jones advanced ahead of Ben Batson's pass and scored 42 yards for a touchdown with 1:04 to play.

The Tigers will resume the fight on Aug. 29 against Georgia Tech at Death Valley. This will be the first game of the launch of the ACC network, which will be broadcast a week earlier than the opening match on August 22nd.
