(CNN Business) – McDonald's is narrowing its late-night menu.
Beginning April 30, Signature artisan recipes, Artisan Grilled Chicken Sandwiches, Crispy Buttermilk Chicken Sandwiches, Buttermilk Brittle Tenders, Fish Fillet and Premium Salads will not be available from midnight to five am hours, depending on the chain of restaurants.
"We will simplify what is served after midnight so that customers can get the most popular favorites," said Andrea Abate, McDonald's spokesperson.
Other late-night menu options, including Big Macs, Quarter Pounders and McNuggets, will still be available.
McDonald's wants to reduce the "complexity" of the menus and store operations, Finance Director Kevin Ozan told analysts at a conference held last month. He added that the company's new additions – all-day breakfast, fresh beef, high-end sandwiches – have "created a bit of slowdown in driving."
McDonald's has also increased menu prices by 2% recently to combat rising costs.
