A few days after declaring his candidacy for the Oval Office for "The View" on ABC, Ohio's Democratic representative Tim Ryan staged a launch event Saturday, underscoring his goal of bringing together a "divided country".
"I am Tim Ryan and I am running for the presidency of the United States of America," he said to start the event, prompting the crowd's encouragement.
Throughout his speech in Youngstown, Ohio, Ryan pointed out that the United States had split in two and claimed that some politicians had sought to "divide us" and "wanted to put us in a box or another".
