We are in the final phase of Disney and Marvel's Avengers: End of the game marketing campaign. Both companies seem to be doing everything in the weeks leading up to what will probably be the biggest film of 2019 – and I say that, being fully aware that the final of the third Star wars the trilogy also hits the theaters.
This week alone, we saw a Special look clip that qualifies as a new End of Game trailer taking into account all the new footage revealed by Marvel, as well as a TV spot containing some new scenes. In addition to this, the Avengers: End of the game The scene presented for the first time at the Disney shareholders' meeting in early March was again shared with a limited audience, this time at CinemaCon 2019. If you thought the two companies would stop there you would have been wrong.
Disney just shared about 10 minutes of the next Avengers movie with some members of the press, revealing several major spoilers. If you want to avoid all this, here is your chance to leave. What follows will surely influence your thoughts on what's going on in the movie.
Old spoilers
People to GameSpot have said "their spirit = breathed" after watching both scenes, even if one of them is no longer a secret. That's right, Disney played for the third time the scene of the shareholder meeting / CinemaCon.
We have already mentioned this a few times, and excerpts have already been shown in the recent End of Game clips.
To recap, we examine a group of Avengers survivors discussing how to tackle the Thanos threat in the Avengers. Bruce Banner, Steve Rogers, Natasha, Rhodey, Rocket and Thor are present. Captain Marvel, whom we have just seen arriving on Earth in the Captain Marvel post-credit scenes, as well as Nebula, who is back on Earth. Tony Stark, who was stuck with her in space, is not in this scene.
They talk about attacking Thanos as soon as possible, Captain Marvel being confident he can defeat him. That's when they decide to pursue the Titan after discovering where he is. Nebula knows exactly where it's removed, and Rocket has detected an energy signature similar to that recorded on Earth during instant capture. This is how many old and new Avengers are found in the Benatar. Virtually everyone except Bruce Banner and Nebula is seen in the picture below, although Thanos's daughter is probably on board the ship.
There is however a brand new detail in this scene that has not been sufficiently emphasized in previous reports on this subject. The new spoilers
The most exciting thing that emerges from this new sequence is a new Brad scene very early in the film: Tony and Nebula in Space. The trailers have already shown pieces of Tony's message to Pepper, but the scene that Disney has just shared with the press is full of tons of exciting spoilers.
First, we are told that Tony and Nebula are stuck in space for 22 days after the Battle of Titan. That's why they have no more food or water and the oxygen will soon run out. In fact, it's Tony who tells Pepper all those things in the message he's recording.
Tony received heavy injuries after Thanos' stabbing, he told Pepper. After all, it was a massive blade that could have killed him. However, Tony was lucky to have Nebula at his side. Apparently, he has contracted some sort of infection, but he is recovering thanks to his medical abilities.
In addition to "repairing" Tony, the two men also tried to repair the ship, but they have serious problems with fuel cells. They managed to take about two days of flight, but "they are light years from the nearest 7/11".
With all this in mind, Tony tells Pepper that he expects to not go there. It is then that he closes the heartbreaking message to Pepper in the trailers we all saw, telling him that he would think of Pepper when he will move away.
Disney may have also shown the press the opening scene of End of Game. Despite their desperate situation, Tony and Nebula bored a little in space. When the Marvel logo appears, the song Dear Mr. Fantasy plays in the background, as both play football in paper. It's both hilarious and heartbreaking. We know that these two are all alone in space, but they have not given up trying to survive.
What Disney did not reveal is how they will be saved. But once saved, they will probably arrive on Earth just after Captain Marvel's arrival. This means that the first fight against Thanos, which will probably lead to another defeat of the Avengers, will take place at the very beginning of the first act of the film, setting the tone for everything that follows.
Avengers: End of the game April 26, but we would not be surprised to see more fragments of these scenes appear on YouTube in the coming days.
