"I love Teyana Taylor, I love to see other artists, we all love them," said participant Emily Paige.

40,000 people attended the event at Dix Park, which featured several big names in rap and hip-hop, including but not limited to J.Cole, Savage 21 and Nelly.

As small scenes occurred, people would walk around the park, play minigolf, discover local art and take advantage of it.

The biggest drawback of the event was parking.

Shuttle buses downtown were virtually the only way to get to the event because there was no parking allowed in the park.

"It was a mess, but that's what it is – it's the first time they're organizing this festival." Maybe next year or next time, they will understand everything, "said Reese Evans, a resident of Raleigh.
