The Overwatch trick perfectly cancels the field of Baptist immortality

Baptiste, the last entry of the hero in Overwatch, made waves when fans discovered his extremely useful field, Immortality Field. Although this part of his equipment may be a little overloaded, some players have already found a way around this ability.

The latest exploit uses Mei's ice wall to deny the incredible radius of protection offered by Baptiste's Immortality Field.

In a Reddit article, user 'mimjob' showed how a strategically placed wall of ice would condemn the opposing player to rely on his effects to stay alive.

The video shows Mei placing a wall of ice between the drone and the players of the other team. With the wall up, you can see Mei shooting and eliminating two players inside the Immortality field radius.

It seems that the new hero's ability uses a line-of-sight effect, which means that it will prevent any friendly character from dying, as expected, as long as nothing blocks the view of Baptiste's drone towards the player.

After experimentation, mimjob discovered that installing the wall canceled Baptiste's infamous ability, saying, "… as long as the wall is between the disk and the enemy, it fades away."

Adding to the findings of mimjob, other commentators have suggested that the Immortality field can be completely neutralized [could] kill enemies on all sides of the wall. "
