Nipsey Hussle Memorial to be held at Staples Center Thursday

LOS ANGELES (KABC) – A memorial in honor of rapper Killed Nipsey Hussle is scheduled to be held Thursday at Staples Center in downtown Los Angeles, Eyewitness News learned.

Details regarding the intended service were not immediately available.

Hussle, 33, a beloved community activist from his hometown, South Los Angeles and beyond, was shot dead on March 31st in front of his clothing store near the intersection of Slauson Avenue and Crenshaw Boulevard. Two other men were injured in the shooting.

A manhunt ensued, which resulted in the arrest of Eric R. Holder Jr., 29 years old. The suspect was held on bail of $ 5 million after pleading not guilty Thursday on charges of murder and attempted murder.

The defense's defense attorney, Christopher Darden, who has gained national fame within the O.J.'s prosecution team. Simpson's 1995 lawsuit for murder did not dispute the amount of the bond.
