"We are consuming too much content" Avengers: End of the game Co-director Joe Russo recently said about the amount of movies shot for the film. "So we have at our disposal a lot of different shots that we can not manipulate in the film through the CG to tell a story that we want to tell specifically for the purpose of the trailer and not for the film. "
We share this quote to remind Marvel fans that the Russos are manipulating the Avengers 4 Images are shown in movie trailers and TV spots to keep things secret until the first. To this end, Anthony and Joe have just told us that one of the most epic End of Game scenes we saw this week is not real. It's no surprise to those who claim that the title of Avengers 4 is not even mentioned in War of Infinity.
Marvel and Disney have been incredibly busy this week promoting the next Avengers movie. We saw a Special look End of Game trailer featuring many new footage, as well as a TV commercial featuring some new scenes. Disney then shared the same End of Game This scene was first presented at last month's shareholder meeting with CinemaCon 2019 attendees. Finally, Disney booked 10 minutes of film for some members of the press before the movie was released.
But the Russo also revealed that one of the key scenes they revealed this week is wrong:
The Tony Stark / Captain America scene of the Special look The trailer is not what it seems. Some have interpreted it as the Tony / Steve scene we've been waiting for since the tragic end of Captain America: Civil War. The two men have not spoken to each other for about two years, although Stark still retains the rollover phone that Rogers sent him by mail, as we saw in War of Infinity. However, I am convinced that this scene has nothing to do with the first Tony / Cape scene that the public is dying to see: the reunion between these two heroes. Here's what I said about it by dissecting the Special look trailer a few days ago:
This leads to what seems to be the most anticipated scene of Infinity War-Endgame movies, the moment Tony and Steve get together. But I bet it's not that time. Look how Tony's hair is gray. The most likely scenario is that old Stark has jumped back into the battle of New York, where he will meet Captain America in 2012. This is because of the strange exchange between the two. Stark asks Rogers, "Do you trust me?" And Cape answers yes. Did Tony just tell him that he arrived from the future at the Battle of New York? Because the last time we checked was Stark who did not trust Captain America after discovering in the Civil War that Rogers knew that Bucky had killed his parents.
Now let's see what the Russo brothers had to say about this scene by talking to Fox about the 10 minutes of End of Game images that they showed to the press.
"My favorite moment in the new trailer is Tony saying," Do you trust me? "And Cape goes" I do "," Fox Kevin McCarthy told the Russos during the interview. "For me, it could have been a time when there could have been a joke or something," because they have this funny joke. But it was a beautiful moment because of the stakes of what is happening. Just because this moment is there and in the trailers, lead this scene, have these two, knowing what happened in War of Infinityknowing what happened with the shot of Thanos, what about being behind the camera at that time?
"Well, it's an amazing time, but we can not go into too much detail," began to answer the question before Joe took over.
"So you know we're telling people we're manipulating movie trailers to obscure what's going on in these movies?" Joe continued. "It's not in the movie."
He then rhetorically asked, "Am I kidding?" We have no idea, Joe. We have no idea.
"The relationship between Tony Stark and Steve Rogers is a relationship we have had for a long time," Anthony tried to repeat before Joe intervened again, potentially confusing things further. "It's a very special story," said Anthony just as Joe began shaking his hand. Yes, these two are pros in the wrong direction.
"Maybe it's in the movie," acknowledged Joe before the end of the interview.
So, is this Tony / Cap scene in the movie? I do not think so. McCarthy's catch is probably wrong too. The two iconic Avengers will not meet in this scene. I guess Marvel camouflaged Rogers' Captain America suit in the trailer to make it more modern than it really is. Why? To keep us from realizing that Tony is talking to Cape Town 2012, which would be a confirmation of the trip back in time End of Game. Remember that it's all about obscuration with these Avengers 4 trailers.
