The county coroner identified a baton who died Saturday in the fall while working on the Empire Polo Club site in Indio before the Coachella Valley Music and Art Festival next week.

Christopher Griffin, 49, of San Diego, was working on a staging area when he fell from a roof, according to the Indio Police and CalFire / Riverside Fire Department. County.
