In "First Call" Monday, the remarkable progress of Ryan Shazier. The remarkable stupidity of Antonio Brown. The remarkable struggles of Cubs early in the season.
From the good side
Hidden under the avalanche of negative headlines surrounding the Steelers this season, we can be inspired by the steady progress of Ryan Shazier.
The Pro Bowl's linebacker, who has lost the ability to walk for a while after a collision with Cincinnati in 2017, is making big strides in rehab. Based on this video that he posted on Instagram, Shazier has now become a boxed jumper.
It's a great visual because it was feared that Shazier could never walk alone after being hurt.
Others involve it
As I said about the Steelers and their constant clutter in social media …
Forget the G.O.A.T rings inlaid with diamonds, Antonio Brown needs a diamond encrusted lollipop. Because he acts as the biggest baby of all time.
In case you missed it on Sunday, Brown was distorted when a fan tweeted JuJu Smith-Schuster's picture as being the team's most valuable player.
Last December, he countered with a slump against the expensive trial of Smith-Schuster against the Saints.
When Smith-Schuster heard about AB's mockery, he turned to Twitter himself.
It's crazy how much this ego has to be great to take pictures of people who show you love! Smh

Also on Instagram, he's laughed at a previous comment from Brown, suggesting to people to "Protect your emotions from the Internet".
It was then that Steelers running back, James Conner, supported his teammate by simply commenting: "Preach.
Later, the safety of Texans, Justin Reid, piled on Brown with this message on Twitter.
I respect his game but I can not wait to crush this guy. No need for that. Https://t.co/luWgSZqCOB

Reid will not wait long. The Texans will host Oakland in 2019.
Rivalry lives
Some thought the Pittsburgh-Cincinnati rivalry would die with Vontaze Burfict and Antonio Brown in Oakland.
I suppose not.
Things got heated between the Reds and the Pirates this afternoon. Look …

D & # 39; AGREEMENT. Different sport. But you get drift.
The connection was not lost with Steelers linebacker Vince Williams, who retweeted a video the fight with the comment "Pit vs Cin is always on" with the mandatory fire emoji.
I think that's what he was talking about.

Happy to be at home?
The Pirates open a series against the Cubs at 14:20. Monday at home in Chicago.
The Cubs played their first nine road games against the Rangers, Braves and Brewers. And it was not pretty. They are 2-7.
Only reds have a worse record. No National League team has allowed more points than Chicago (71).
To be fair, however, only the Dodgers (72) scored more than the Cubs (62) at the NL.
Jon Lester will pitch for the Cubs. He was decent, scoring 1-0 in two starts with a 3.00 ERA. Jameson Taillon for the Pirates (1-1, 3.48) will oppose him.
