Microsoft is working on a new subscription service that combines Xbox Live Gold with Xbox Game Pass.

The service, dubbed Xbox Game Pass Ultimate, would cost $ 15 a month. The news has been reported for the first time by a Twitter user h0x0d, before The Verge confirms it with his own sources.

$ 15, it's $ 5 less than what users pay for both services combined, and that makes a lot of sense. H0x0d says Xbox insiders will be able to test for only one dollar, until the game is available to everyone else.

The Xbox One S All-Digital edition, the diskless console, is expected to be unveiled later this month alongside the service. A diskless console should rely exclusively on digital games, and Game Pass would be a great starting point.

Microsoft can even decide to associate the next console with one or three months of Game Pass Ultimate to make a more interesting proposal. Nevertheless, it is clear that the transformation of Microsoft into a service company begins to take shape on Xbox.
