Kodak Black is apologized for his plans to sue actress Lauren London after the death of her boyfriend, Nipsey Hussle.

"I will be the best man I can be for her," Kodak said of Lauren London, adding that he would give her "a whole year" to mourn Nipsey.

He faces reactions such as T.I and The Game – and his music was banned from a major Los Angeles radio – as a result of comments.

His apologies have also been criticized.

"If I disrespected you, Lauren London, I'm sorry," said the 21-year-old rapper on Instagram Live, before adding, "Even though I did not do it."

"Rest in peace dude [Nipsey Hussle]. If I disrespect Lauren London, even though I know I did not do it, my fault, "he repeated later in the video.

T.I and The Game both recorded videos calling Kodak Black after his first comments.

And Power 106, one of Los Angeles' biggest radio stations, said she would not play her songs anymore.

But for some people, the reaction to his comments came at a strange time.

The Florida rapper, his real name Dieuson Octave, is waiting to be tried in South Carolina after being charged with sexual assault in this country in 2016.

The trial has been delayed, but if he is found guilty, he faces up to 30 years in prison.

He was also criticized for using homophobic lyrics referring to rapper Young M.A on a song released earlier this year.
