The match arrived after seven hours of struggle, but it was still pretty good. The crowd was inside. Then it's over and everything went to hell.
The main event of WrestleMania ended with Becky Lynch winning both Gross and Smack down female titles, after months of accumulation. Ronda Rousey had his first defeat of the game in the WWE. It may have been a good time, except that the pin came out of nowhere and Rousey's shoulders were up.
I do not think that the fact that it's a script or some kind of error matters. This has ended with this sequence one way or the other. Even the configuration was weird! The pins are no longer coming out of nowhere, especially at WrestleMania. Every match has impending falls and wrestlers are coming through with shots that were previously unavoidable and deadly. And then in the main event, when a tired crowd probably just wanted to sing 1-2-3 with Becky Lynch winning and coming home, they managed a turnaround.
Of course, a controversial fall could (and probably will) lead to another Rousey / Lynch match on a pay-per-view basis. But finish WrestleMania with a hubbub in which the loser's shoulders it was not even out of order was a disappointment.
Which means that the day after WrestleMania feels … weird. Despite every major outcome leaving the fans happy – Seth Rollins beat Brock Lesnar for the WWE's all-time title in a short match that opened the main card, Kofi Kingston beat Daniel Bryan for the world title. the WWE in the best match of the night – show it disappointed. It was so long, with 16 matches in all. More than seven hours of struggle, more than seven hours more or less no matter what-c & # 39; is too much.
There were of course some scattered highlights. Kingston's victory over Bryan was quite entertaining. The show started with a promotional offer in which Seth Rollins pronounced the words "Shakespeare has already said," which was nice, then Rollins opened the show by defeating Lesnar in a brief but very entertaining match, which was also nice. Even though the segment was a bit long, it was fun to see John Cena making an appearance as his old "Dr. of Thuganomics "and beat Elias. The first leg of the men's four-game was very clever. The first leg of the women's four had a good end and, uh, the only team that has been a real team has won. George Mizanin, the father of Miz, briefly joined the ring to have fun with Shane McMahon. Triple H pulled Batista's ring-nose with pliers and Shawn Michaels made some funny comments for the game. Michael Cole lost so much voice in the end that he almost looked like Joey Styles. Despite my reluctance to place non-wrestlers over the wrestlers, even Colin Jost / Michael Che's stint with Braun Strowman was pretty funny!
It's a long list of highlights, but overall I did not appreciate WrestleMania this, despite the fact that most match results matched exactly what I was looking for. Did I enjoy it despite my doubts? Of course, it was WrestleMania! But, wow, there were also a lot of things that did not work for me. After fifteen matches, there was a "dance break" at quarter past midnight. The longest game in the series was a hilarious triple H / Batista holiday extremely painful. Several matches were so short that they were essentially entries in the world. Nothing was so bad, but everything was so long. There was also an impressive number of breaks in which no one fought, which is a real feat on a 16-match card.
But the main event was really good. Becky Lynch and Charlotte Flair both launched Ronda Rousey. All three have managed to get the crowd back after what appears to be an hour or more of time out. And then the finish left everything and everyone flat. Ugh. I can not believe that WrestleMania ends like this.
