Bruins injuries: bad news from Kevan Miller, good news from Sean Kuraly | Boston Bruins

Just like last season, the Boston Bruins will play in the Stanley Cup playoffs with a well-rounded lineup.

The Bruins are ready to face the Toronto Maple Leafs in what should be a fascinating series of playoffs in the first round. Unfortunately for Boston, several players will be on the shelves to start the playoffs, while one will have a chance to miss a longer time.

Defender John Moore (upper body) and forward Sean Kuraly (hand fracture) will bet for TD Garden's first game on Thursday, Bruins general manager Don Sweeney said after Monday's practice at Warrior Ice Arena. Both players could return before the end of the series.

And then there is defenseman Kevan Miller.

The physical defender missed a significant time in the match with a lower-body injury and ended Thursday's game against Minnesota Wild after appearing to make the situation worse. Sweeney announced that Miller, faced with an "extra swell," would not be ready for the start of the Toronto series.

Here are some updates from Boston Globe Bruins and Matt Porter:

Injuries or not, the series between the Bruins and Leafs has a chance to be an absolute classic. Both franchises have played seven games in each of their last two post-season games (2013 and 2018), and fans should not be shocked if this series also crosses the distance.
