A new research note written by Ming-Chi Kuo predicts that Apple's highly anticipated professional-grade screen will arrive in the coming months, and that the MacBook Pro with a larger screen will not arrive until the first half of 2021 – and both incorporate the micro LED backlight.

Kuo does not address the specifications of the display in its latest note, specifying the size, and specifications of LED micro backlighting. Kuo expects the screen to display a wide range of colors and high contrast.
The rumor that the MacBook Pro would be reiterated would also involve the incorporation of a mini LED backlight, but would relate more to the timing of the publication than anything else. The report discusses a migration of technology to a large iPad, but this is less clear in the note.
Ming-Chi Kuo, an analyst at TF International Securities, had already suspected that the MacBook Pro would arrive at some point in 2019. Kuo dropped the treat in a Feb. 17 research note covering the company's entire product line with accurate forecasts. No additional detail on the larger MacBook Pro was featured in the note, nor in Monday's note.
This micro LED MacBook Pro will feature a screen measuring between 16 and 16.5 inches diagonally, announced Kuo earlier, Monday's note suggesting that it was possible to reach 17 inches. If so, the MacBook Pro display range will see its first significant increase since Apple removed the 17-inch model in 2012. Currently, the largest MacBook Pro on the market has a 15-inch Retina display with resolution of 2880 pixels per second. 1,800 pixels.
In the same February research report, the well-connected analyst also provided details on the plans for a new Mac Pro "easy to upgrade", an Apple 6K screen, three new iPads and three new iPhones.
At present, it is not clear whether Monday's note speaks of the 6K display, according to rumor, or of another resolution.
The note was obtained by Daily economic news which focus more on the implications of such a move for the supply chain. AppleInsider has not seen the note yet.
