The Fortnite World Cup will extend over three seasons

One of the biggest grievances against Epic is that they are not doing enough to prepare players for huge meta-shifts before major Fortnite tournaments. The Fortnite World Cup seeks to highlight this flaw.

The communication was a double-edged sword with Epic Games. It sometimes seems that Epic responds to the comments of the community and sometimes it seems hopelessly disconnected.

The subject of the restoration of the Fortnite rule game is a perfect example of this disconnect. Streamers, pros and normal players have complained about the changes since the patch was released, but Epic has not reacted yet.

One of the biggest areas where communication seems to be lost is at the highest level of the game. Epic regularly makes changes to their game before major events.

The most recent change has been the abandonment of stretched resolution. They now force players to adjust to the native resolution after a year and more practice on stretching.

Epic has released several meta-shifted updates before major tournaments. Stormwings, The Infinity Blade, and even Season 8 itself came out just before Fortnite's professional events.

With this in mind, it should not be shocking to learn that Epic plans to end the World Cup process in the three seasons of the game.

The qualifiers are unfolding now, during season 8. As Cloakzy expresses it correctly in the clip above, some players will slip into a qualifying position by leaning on Ballers – qu '39 Epic plans to remove or adjust in the near future.

The end of qualifying will come in season 9, but it is not even the season that will host the World Cup. One week before the event (July 26-28), a season 10 will begin.

The map will change, new items will be added and the largest tournament in the history of Esports will begin a week later.

Epic will award $ 40 million in prizes throughout the event. The basic game can (and I mean can) will be the same, but players will definitely have their drop points removed and adapt to a brand new meta in just one week.

Fortnite is the biggest game in the world, and constant updates are a part of it. Unfortunately, the professional scene suffers to appease us.
